Talkback: "Recording Tips for the Beginner"Absolutely a scream. So many of these comments are the ones we think our clientsare thinking. Or our second engineers, if they're new. Many thanks for a laugh ona dreary Saturday morning. -- David Sifritt, des@on-ramp.net Wendy wrote: Be sure the sound passes through the cables in the proper direction...Otherwise, when a singer inhales, you will hear an exhale, and vice versa. Wendy, you as a veteran MIDI pro should know that by using MIDI breath control you can cope with this problem. A controller value smaller than 64 reverses the exhale back into the (original) inhale. A slight amount of breath control is also helpful for hyperventilating singers. Ciao, --Jochen Schmidt-Hambrock, JochenSchmidt@compuserve.com
